Saint Joseph Pilgrim Icon

The Saint Joseph icon is the latest to be a part of the Knights of Columbus Pilgrim Icon Program.  Every few years, the organization selects an icon of a saint whose patronage is particularly inspiring to Knights and their communities.  Since its inception in 1979, the Pilgrim Icon Program has held more than 174,000 local council and parish prayer services icon with approximately 22 million participants.

Pictured here is one of several icons that was blessed by Pope Francis I after he declared 2021 to be the year of Saint Joseph.  Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly has also chosen to entrust his tenure as our Surpreme Knight to Saint Joseph.

St. Martin of Tours Council #14769 recently participated in the Pilgrim Icon program by hosting one of the Saint Joseph icons.

After being on display during weekend masses, the icon was available for viewing and reflection in our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. We then held a special prayer service on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 with special intentions devoted to Saint Joseph.  The service was attended by approximately 30 Knights, parishioners, and guests.
